Third Party Inspection Service in Sourcing Process

Third party inspection services is a must process in global sourcing, so when importers booked the service for shipment, and inspector found quality problems from inspection, how would you like the third party QC helps you solve these quality problems?

In previouse artile (Why Third party inspectors rarely provide importer corrective actions), we explained that inspectors are limited in their ability to find causes for and fix quality issues they detected in factory.

So how would you like these QC inspectors to help you? We would say the real value they provide to importers can be summarized just:

Transparency

QC inspectors provide transparency in their communication, their documentation and reporting. in each product inspection or quality check case, information from inspectors could help importers to understand what’s really happening with their Chinese supplier, empowering the importer to make informed decisions about their products.

This is why most of importers book Pre-shipment Inspection Service as a necessary process for importing

Transparency and Improving communication

Importers know the difficulty of communicating with their suppliers when they are not in same table.

Suppliers may misunderstands client’s product specification or quality requirements, or suppliers only tells things what client wants to hear, instead of full information, such as short lead-time, full manufacturing process in their own factory, Later then importers meet problems simply because their Chinese supplier withheld important information or neglected to ask the importer to clarify expectations.

QC inspectors in third party inspection company are often locally-based and have experience moderating the relationship between suppliers in China and foreign buyers. And whether the result of a language barrier or a cultural difference, inspectors can often help you avoid misunderstandings and improve communication.

QC inspector can communicate with factory staff on quality control process during inspection , they can also help clarify your requirements when liaising with the supplier to schedule inspection. The result is more clarity and a lower chance of nonconformities and quality defects in your finished goods.

Do you think QC inspectors or third party inspection company can helps more? what’s value of quality inspection services at different production stages?

How third party qc inspectors helps you solve quality problemsEvery inspection type aims to detect any product defects or other issues before the factory ships the finished goods to client. but different inspection type also provides different insight into your manufacturing and quality control system.

So the greatest value of third party QC is being able to detect the problems early and keep it in factory. no customer like bad products sit in their warehouse but hard to return or fix it.

We explained that transparency is the most important thing that third party qc inspectors helps client from inspection report, now let’s take a look the product inspection in various stage of production or shipping:
